Taught by our Resident Teacher: Gen Kelsang Rigma
The purpose of the Foundation Programme is to provide a systematic presentation of particular subjects of Mahayana Buddhism to enable practitioners to deepen their knowledge and experience of Buddhism.
Here at Khedrubje Centre we are currently studying Joyful Path of Good Fortune, an explanation of the entire path to enlightenment as taught by the great Buddhist Masters such as Atisha and Je Tsongkhapa. Studying this book will reveal three principle understandings to us:
1. How to be happy in this life and our future lives through developing the realisations of the initial scope.
2. How to attain the supreme inner peace of liberation that will cause us to feel at peace at all times through the realisations of the intermediate scope.
3. How to be of the most benefit to others through the realisations of the great scope.
The Lamrim teachings this text is based on has been at the heart of the Kadampa Buddhist Tradition for over 800 years, so this is an opportunity not to be missed!

The Teacher Training Program (TTP) is for those who wish to become qualified teachers of Kadampa Buddhism and also for those who wish to gain a clear insight into Buddha's teachings and deep experience of their practice.
We are currently studying Universal Compassion. A text on the Lojong practice of Training the Mind in Seven Points by Geshe Chekawa.
Teacher Training Programme involves studying the below 14 texts on Sutra and Tantra (which include the 6 Foundation Programme texts). Aside from studying, the TTP student is required to maintain certain commitments with regard to behaviour and way of life, and to complete a number of meditation retreats each year.
