Buddha Maitreya is the manifestation of all the Buddhas' realisation of loving kindness. This festival is a unique opportunity to concentrate on understanding and practising the precious instructions given by Venerable Geshe-la on how to develop the three types of love. We will also learn how we ourselves can quickly become a Buddha of Loving Kindness by changing our basis of imputation through Tantric practice.

In October 2013 Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche gave his last public teachings in Portugal. During this Festival, these teachings will be revisited by Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong and Gen-la Kelsang Jampa.

This retreat will focus on the stages of the path of Sutra and Tantra, according to the Lord of All Lineages prayer. The retreat will follow a basic structure over five days: initial scope, intermediate scope, great scope, correct view of emptiness, and some introductory meditations on Tantra.
